Trucks
So I was rushing to work this morning already running late for my 9am teleconference (even though I left home 5 minutes early) because of a truck driving on the sidewalk, a pedestrian jam by the bus stop and three girls walking arm in arm at a literal snails pace whne suddenly someone stopped me to ask for directions.
In Spanish.
Now it’s been a while since I’ve spoken Spanish. I think I remembered left (iquierda?) and right (derecha?) but for the life of me I could not remember how to say road.
Everytime I tried to think of the word ‘camino’ popped into my head and I’m pretty sure that camino means truck. So my directions went something like this:
Go three trucks this way (frantically pointing west)
Then go right on St. Laurent Truck
Go one truck more and you’ve arrived / left (I know that for to arrive / to leave one is llevar and the other llegar but I can never remember which - I am realisitcally probably wrong on both)
