Back on Track
Ok, so I figured that once I got back from Brazil things would calm down a bit. I imagined days of sleeping in until 9am followed by hours pottering around in the garden but my plans went astray fro two reasons. One good…one bad.
Good Reason
I finally got my job offer, which I, of course, accepted without delay. I haven’t actually started yet but I do find myself running around trying to prove (1) that I didn’t lie about my qualifications, (2) that I’m not on the brink of death, (3) that I live where they think I live - although I’m not entirely sure where that is, and (4) that my veins course with British blood which is entirely acceptable to their quota system.
Bad Reason
It’s snowing. Yep, it’s April and instead of moving my seedlings outside during the day we have turned the heating back on to keep them (and us) for freezing in the apartment. Now I’m not, as a rule, too bothered by snow but I’m quite convinced that the four foot think ice in our hot-tub, probably isn’t going to melt when the temperature hovers somewhere just below zero. See, I was paying attention in physics class.
